Delete your account

SnagRight is published by Project Prepared Ltd. This page explains how to delete your account and everything stored in it, either from inside the app or by email if you no longer have it installed.

In the app

The quickest route, and it takes effect immediately.

Open SnagRight and sign in
Go to Settings
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
Confirm when asked — you are asked twice, because it cannot be undone

By email

If you have already removed the app, or cannot sign in, email us from the address your account is registered to:

enquiries@snagright.app

Put Account deletion request in the subject line. We will confirm by reply once it is done, normally within one working day and always within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm from the registered address before acting, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes everything associated with it, from our servers and from your device:

What is kept, and why

Two things survive deletion, and neither is under our control:

Records of purchases. Where you have paid for a subscription or a report unlock, a record of the transaction is retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. This is a financial record, not your snagging data, and it is kept whether or not your account exists.
Payments held by the app stores. Apple and Google hold their own records of what you bought from them. We never see your payment details and cannot delete anything on their side.

Backups are rotated on a rolling basis, so a copy of deleted data may persist in an encrypted backup for a short period before it is overwritten. It is not accessible through the app or restored to your account.

Before you delete

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it first, or you will continue to be billed for an account that no longer exists.

Cancelling on iPhone or iPad

Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose SnagRight and tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling on Android

Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose SnagRight and tap Cancel subscription.

Export anything you want to keep before you delete. Reports and CSV exports are the only copies that survive, and we cannot recover your data afterwards — not the following day, and not on request.
